Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Certified Automotive Lift Inspector to join our team. As an Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Certified Lift Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of vehicle lifts across various facilities, adhering to the highest industry standards. With the growing demand for certified lift inspections, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in automotive safety.
Responsibilities:
● Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle lifts (including two-post, four-post, scissor, in-ground, mobile column, and other lift types) in accordance with ALI standards.
● Document inspection findings using ALI-approved procedures and forms, ensuring compliance with national safety standards.
● Apply serialized ALI Certified Lift Inspection labels to lifts that pass inspection, providing proof of compliance.
● Educate shop owners, managers, and technicians on lift safety practices and ALI requirements.
● Adhere to the ALI Lift Inspector Code of Ethics, maintaining integrity and professionalism in all interactions.

● Minimum of 12 months of experience in automotive lift installation, inspection, or field service work for manufacturers, distributors, or service organizations.
Or
● Minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar role or industry, such as heavy equipment maintenance, industrial machinery servicing, or related technical field service work of like kind or quality.
● Ability to complete the ALI Lift Inspector Certification Program, including passing two written exams (pre-course and course exams) and documenting 12 practical inspections.
● Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles related to automotive lifts.
● Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
● Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule, with potential travel to client sites.
● Strong communication skills to educate clients and document findings effectively.
● Willingness to attend a mandatory ALI Participant Orientation Meeting (in-person or online).
● Valid driver’s license.
